Can our judiciary’s slide into an abyss be reversed?

Botswana’s judiciary continues to face distinctly unique challenges – straight from within.

The latest challenge is posed by none other than the lawyers, through the Law Society of Botswana.

It will be interesting to see how the Chief Justice will wriggle himself out of this one.

In a previous difficulty an out of court settlement was reached with another judge.

Whether or not that did anything to restore public faith in the judiciary, we can safely say the jury is still out.

The opening of the legal year is a key flagship platform for the Chief Justice, Attorney General and the Chairman of the Law Society of Botswana.
