Centre Chiefs deny coach exit rumours

Mochudi Centre Chiefs have denied rumours doing rounds that they have parted ways with their Serbian coach, Dragojlovic Stancoljlovic. Chiefs have of late not been doing well and fingers have always been pointed to their coach for the losses. The defending champions are currently on the second spot in the be-MOBILE Premier League and would continue to go down if they continue to drop points. The team management has for some time been reported to be not happy with the coach and information reaching The Telegraph Sports is that the weekend loss to BDF XI was the last straw for the coach to leave. Already the numbers of supporters’ attendances at the matches have also dwindled. The spokesperson for the team, Clifford Mogomotsi denied that they have shown the coach the door. He said the coach is still in charge.

“Drago (Stancoljlovic) is still our coach and we have not made any decision regarding his future. All the rumours going round are false,” he said. Mogomotsi even denied that they are already talking to some coaches to take over. A source told The Telegraph Sports that Centre Chiefs is finalizing exit package for the Serbian coach and they have already identified some local coaches.

“Centre Chiefs are already preparing for life without the Serbian coach and some of the identified coaches are the likes of former Zebras coach, Stanley Tshosane, Losika Keatholetswe and China Mathaku. They are realizing that the ship is already sinking and they feel that they have to correct things before it is late,” the source said. The Kgatleng side has won the league championships for the past two consecutive years while under the tutelage of Madinda Ndlovu. Chiefs started the league well and only to falter in the last four matches.
