Chilliboy eyeing Mogoditshane

A member of the Botswana Congress Party and Radio personality, Tumediso Rakgare, popularly known as Chilliboy, has criticized the ruling party, saying it has failed to address issues affecting the youth in Mogoditshane and the nation at large.

After being officially welcomed in Mogoditshane constituency on Sunday, Rakgare said the youth of Mogoditshane have approached him to represent them in parliament for the 2014 general elections.

He said the youth are struggling to get employment under the Botswana Democratic Party leadership and urged Mogoditshane residents to change leadership.

Rakgare said the land issue in Mogoditshane still remains a national issue but government is failing to intervene under the BDP leadership.

At the same venue where BCP President Dumelang Saleshando officially welcomed Rakgare in Mogoditshane, Saleshando also accused the ruling party of failing to provide quality education and failing to resolve the land issue in Mogoditshane and across the country.

Saleshando told the residents to look back and see what the ruling party has done for the country. Saleshando said the local BDP MP, Patrick Masimolole, who is the Assistant Minister of Education, is failing as evidenced by the decline in most of Mogoditshane primary schools results.

He urged Mogoditshane residents to vote for BCP in the 2014 general elections.

“Just like any other person Chiliboy can stand for the primary elections but we have not announced the date, because the party is still yet to announce for the Primary elections in the constituency,” said Party Spokesperson Taolo Lucas.
