There are a few commonalities about Lydia Jele, Karabo Mothibi, Refilwe Murangi and Zibane Ngozi. Blessed with speed, they are all known for setting the athletics tracks alight. They have all at one point or another represented Botswana internationally.
And they are all currently serving suspensions for doping violations. But that is not where the commonalities end. Of late, these athletes are setting Facebook alight. They are on a crusade against what they deem an unfair anti-doping system.
The social media match stick was first lit by Murangi. Unhappy with her results and provisional suspension, the speed queen took to her Facebook page to rail against the officials. She was followed by Ngozi eight days ago, Mothibi two days thereafter while Jele made her own post a day after Mothibi.
