Defense Minister says security agents used reasonable force in Phase 2 shootings

Minister of Defense and Security Kagiso Mmusi has defended the use of force by security agents in the fatal shooting of 10 suspected cash-in-transit robbers in Gaborone Phase II in February 2022.

Reassuring Parliament that security agencies under his ministry would continue to operate within the bounds of the law regarding the use of force. Kapinga had directed a series of questions to Mmusi concerning the tragic incident that occurred two years ago.
