Dikoloti should have resigned from cabinet before his inevitable and predictable sack

A strong political antenna is crucial in politics.

So too is political savvy.

Member of Parliament Edwin Dikoloti should have read the headwinds a few weeks ago to see that his position was becoming untenable.

But one has to be politically savvy. They also need a strong a political antanna.

I am told that before primary elections which in spite of heavy involvement by the intelligence services and clear favoritism from the first family – being the president and his wife – which Dikoloti comfortably won there was a heavy lobbying on him on him to consider making way for Peggy Serame in return for all sorts of positions including a diplomatic position.

He turned down such offers.
