A leaked internal communication within the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) has shown how the spy agency spearheaded a media campaign to counter the barrage of attacks against President Mokgweetsi Masisi by his predecessor Ian Khama.
The government recently hosted international media at a workshop designed to counter former president Khama’s “attack” against Masisi. The media were also addressed by various government Ministers including Foreign Affair Minister Dr. Lemogang Kwape, and Minister for State, President Kabo Morwaeng.
