Does Botswana Football Need Regulations on Team Ownership or Sponsorship?

Exactly a decade and a year ago, Botswana football found itself at the crossroads. Society owned teams, not happy with institution teams, formed a breakaway Botswana Soccer Association (BOSA) to run parallel with the FIFA recognised Botswana Football Association (BFA).

While society owned teams may have acted out of frustration of the dominance of institutional teams, there was even something much bigger at stake. The perception was that as some of the institutional teams were financed by a single entity, it opened a room for match fixing.
