Don’t miss the Crown of the Ballet Moscow on Tuesday and Wednesday

Members of the Crown of the Ballet Moscow will be landing in Gaborone after their performance at the State Theatre Opera in Pretoria for their performing dates on the 11th and 12th of September.

The dancers will be performing, at the Gaborone International Convention Centre, a repertoire that will include one-act ballets of George Bizet’s Carmen, Romeo and Juliet and an extract from Sleeping Beauty.

The Russian ballet classic, Nutcracker is also in the programme, Anatoly Emelyanov’s choreography of Nutcracker is said to bring athleticism of dance to a whole new level and features puppets measuring 12 feet high that will surely rivet the little ones in the audience.
Anatoly Emelyanov, who is also a principal dancer with Metropolitan Classical Ballet in New York, is the artistic director of the Crown of the Ballet Moscow, and has been praised for his non-traditional choreography.

The Tuesday 11th of September performance is sponsored by Bifm, who also sponsored last year’s performance by The Stars of the Ballet – Moscow. Orange and Sony Ericsson will jointly sponsor the Wednesday, 12th September date. The Sunday Standard and Gabz FM are media partners of the ballet gala, which is organised by WeSSide Entertainment and the Grand Palm Hotel.

The Livingstone Restaurant at Grand Palm Hotel will be running a special over the two nights where ticket holders can enjoy the International Buffet for P85.00 per person instead of P125. Children under the age of 12 will pay half price.

Tickets are available at the marketing office, Walmont Ambassador Foyer ÔÇô Grand Palm Hotel. There will be no booking possible; interested members of the public will have to physically come and purchase their tickets in order to choose where they want to be seated.

Tickets are P275 for individuals, P250 for Business Club card owner and P125 for children under the age of 12.
