Last Friday, four men appeared before Francistown Chief Magistrate Lorraine Makati Lesang, facing charges of defrauding Standard Chartered Bank by using a forged cheque.
The four, Dennis Tabulawa, Thabo Nthusang, Galeboe Phate and Peter Kgathola, are accused of defrauding the bank of an amount of P8 175 on the 24 of March, 2009.
The prosecution stated that the accused are also still under investigation in connection with another fraud incident at the same bank in which amounts of P7 000 and P7 200 were obtained.
The four were granted bail on condition that they do not interfere with the police investigations.
