Mashabela is emerging as one of the hottest comedians in the comedy scene today and one of the most accomplished, hardest working comedians. He is a natural comedian, born to make whoever he is with laugh and has a couple of DVDs and awards nominations under his belt. Mashabela performs regularly at all of the main stream comedy clubs around SA and every Wednesday he headlines & hosts top comics at Morula Sun in Pretoria.

Young, energetic and funny, that’s the ideal way of describing Paps. He started doing comedy a year ago after leaving Yarona FM and he hasn’t looked back since. He has tore the roof of all main comedy shows in Botswana and has delighted audiences from Tsabong to Phikwe as a headliner of the acclaimed Laff-A-Lot national tour. Recently Paps performed in Pretoria (South Africa) at Morula Sun where he opened for Mashabela Galane. He is the future of Botswana Comedy. He is one of the hottest comedians touring the country today.

This comedy show promises to take the cake of all comedy shows in Botswana as it will be hosted by funny man MOD of Laff-A-Lot Crew. MOD is an incredibly talented standup comic making waves on the circuit as a superb comedian and MC of note. This versatile comedian finds new material daily from the perils of being married, world politics madness, baby sitting kids, general social commentary on current news headlines and he freely speaks his seditious mind.

“Heavyweights Comedy Jam is a concept that brings the best comics from 2 countries to perform together. This show is about showcasing the talents of comedians of each country in a performance venue, where they will represent their respective countries,” says Norman Proctor, media liaison at Major Move Comedy. “In the next 2 years comedy will become a viable project for government and individuals to invest in,” he added.
