In welcoming verbally expressed intention to forensically audit members of the predecessor cabinet, the Moshupa-Manyana MP, Karabo Gare, suggested that the investigation should cover the 58 years that the Botswana Democratic Party was in power. While he was careful not to mention names, Gare would quote an incident that implicates former president, General Ian Khama.
“The BDP ruled for 58 years – 58 years,” he said, repeating the duration of such rule for emphasis. “It has had five presidents and my expectation is that this forensic audit will not single out some and leave out others.”
