Govt approves death penalty for drug dealers, child rapists

Botswana has doubled down on calling for the death penalty for drug dealers and child rapists.

In a whitepaper on the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Review of the Constitution of Botswana, the Government endorsed the recommendation that illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substance act should be amended to include a provision prescribing the death penalty for drug lords and drug traffickers.
