Govt signals stability as world cracks open its emergency oil piggy bank

The government moved last week to calm fears of an imminent fuel shortage, insisting that the country’s supply remains stable even as a widening conflict in the Middle East disrupts one of the world’s most important oil routes.

In a public update posted on social media, Minister of Minerals and Energy Bogolo Kenewendo said the country has enough fuel in the short term and that additional shipments are already planned.
