The government is preparing to cast one of the widest tax nets in recent years as it targets income across individuals, farms, insurance companies and extractive industries under a proposed income tax bill set to be tabled in Parliament.
Finance Minister Ndaba Gaolathe is expected to present the bill which seeks to modernise the country’s taxation framework while ensuring that all sectors of the economy contribute their fair share to the national fiscus.
