High Court Chief Registrar faces 90 days imprisonment for contempt of court

Justice Bashi Moesi has ordered that High Court Acting Chief Registrar Juliana Dube Akande be arrested and imprisoned for 90 days, unless the Administration of Justice pays 32 Judge drivers their standby allowances and cost of suit within seven days.

This follows an ongoing legal battle between the drivers (Chusin M. Tshenolo and 31 others) and the Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security over standby allowances.
