How the BSE got its groove

It’s been a good week for the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE). On 22nd October, the bourse announced a record breaking P412 Million trade in total market turnover, the highest single day turnover this year. The very next day, the BSE won the prestigious award for ‘Leading Innovators in African Capital Markets 2024’ – in recognition of its outstanding leadership and commitment to innovation in capital markets across Africa. Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kopano Bolokwe explains how the BSE has managed to grow the liquidity of instruments, lower price volatility and improve price discovery.
