Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd and Botswana Breweries (Pty) Ltd this week announced the promotion and regional appointment of Reginald Phoi to the position of Manufacturing Development Director for Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland effective August 01, 2011.
Based in Botswana and leveraging Phoi’s local and international experience, this new leadership role will provide focussed support for Manufacturing Way initiatives in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.
KBL added that Phoi is no stranger to international assignments having served in Lesotho from 2003 to 2007 as the Technical Director for Maluti Mountain Brewery (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of SABMiller in Lesotho.
KBL Managing Director, Hloni Matsela said, “Reg has been a highly capable Technical Director and we are extremely thrilled at his appointment. During his tenure as Technical Director we successfully launched a couple of indigenous brands including St. Louis Export and Core Original. We thank him for his immense contribution to our business over the years.”
