KBL this week praised the appointment of Chose Modise to the position of Internal Audit Manager at the Africa Hub Internal Audit Department in South Africa effective February 1st 2011 saying it hoped the skills he will learn in that country will ploughed back into the country.
Modise joined Botswana Breweries (Pty) Ltd (BBL) in 2006 until his recent move to Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd (KBL) in the position of Group Finance Development Manager.
“It is a great pleasure that one of our own is getting such recognition and will serve at the Africa Hub as a result of his strong work ethic, which has contributed immensely to the growth and success of Botswana Breweries (Pty) Ltd and Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd respectively,” KBL said.
Chose’s valuable contribution will be remembered through the awards that Botswana Breweries (Pty) Ltd won within the SABMiller Group during his tenure as BBL’s Finance Manager. His leadership to the Finance team has been impeccable.
“Given Chose’s professional acumen; his trademark fiscal prudence and adherence, the breweries are confident that he will continue to make us proud and hoist high the Botswana flag in his new role in South Africa,” the company said.
Reacting to Modise’s appointment, Andre Willemse at the Africa Hub Internal Audit Department said that, “Chose is a seasoned professional whose strong background in financial management and auditing means that he will be excellently placed in his new team.”
It is hoped that he will learn valuable skills and acquire experience as he progresses in his career that he can plant back home in some way or the other.
