April 11 2010: Kutlwano Volleyball Club will be representing Botswana and Zone 6 at the African Club Championships after they performed exceptionally well at the Zone 6 championships.

Kagiso Meswele, Vice chairperson of Kutlwano, said that the teams are busy preparing for the competition apart from playing on the Mascom volleyball league.

“Both men and ladies teams are still negotiating to play South African teams and hopefully something positive will come out,” said Meswele. Both teams have been performing well in the league are all placed in the top four bracket on the log table.

Meswele emphasised that the good performance by both teams shows that they are determined to do well at the African championships. Both Kutlwano teams qualified for the African Club Champions by virtue of winning the regional Zone VI competitions in Durban last year.
Both teams performed well at the tournament and earned themselves individual awards.
Botswana then was represented by two men’s teams, Kutlwano and BDF VI and one ladies team, Kutlwano.
