Tuesday evening, 30th October 2012, saw the official opening of Masa Centre in the new CBD and, with it, the official launch of Lansmore Masa Square. As an anchor tenant within the Centre, Lansmore Masa Square also served as the venue for the ceremonial opening.
The ceremonial opening was officiated by Guest of Honour, the newly appointed Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Kitso Mokaila. The night brought together a host of dignitaries, which included those from government, the diplomatic and the business communities.
The opening served as further confirmation of Lansmore Masa Square’s positioning as the preferred choice for business and leisure tourists, as well as locals looking for anything from a quick bite to a gourmet meal.
Lansmore Masa Square is located in one of the two iconic Masa Square towers, cascading into the piazza of Masa Centre. The hotel is uniquely positioned, both literally and figuratively, to raise the bar of the service, cuisine and sense of luxury and convenience that Batswana experience.
“We’ve had our doors open to the public since June of this year and we’re excited to now have an official opening. We’re happy with our growth in this short period and look forward to continuing to bring new meaning to the hospitality sector of Botswana,” said Mr. Rupert Elliott, Lansmore Masa Square General Manager. “Our team is eager to continue to offer gusts and patrons an all-round lifestyle experience that truly redefines the kind of offering they have become used to.”
With 153 luxury rooms spread over 7 floors, the gourmet La Touche de Provence restaurant, Espretto Coffee Shop, rooftop infinity swimming pool, 7 flexibly designed meeting rooms with multimedia equipment and conference facilities accommodating up to 200 people, Lansmore Masa Square promises to provide an exceptional hospitality experience.
The evening’s entertainment came in the form of Botswana’s musical sensation, Latin Dance Superstars, as well as live music from Mmaphala.
In addition the tenants of Masa Centre showcased a lifestyle and fashion show as an additional treat for guests and highlighting the hotel and Centre as the central lifestyle destination of choice, convenient for the international traveler, as well as local business and leisure people.
“It was a truly magical night for all of RDC and for all the tenants within Masa Centre to celebrate our official opening, both of the Centre and of the hotel. We’re all just looking forward to what the future brings and to what we bring to Botswana: something uniquely different and truly exceptional,” said Elliott.
