Metropolitan Botswana will this Friday host a one-day music workshop at the SSKB Auditorium facilitated by South African music guru, Tshepo Tshole, aka “The Village Pope”, together with his band and Bhudaza Mapefane, as well as some of our local jazz legends, including John Selolwane (Guitar), Socca Moruakgomo (Trumpet), Malombo Mmereki (Vocals), Bullie Tsienyane (Drums), Banjo Mosele (Guitar) and Aubri Woki (Bass), who will all share their experiences in the industry as well as showcase their musical talents.
The workshop is aimed at helping music practitioners of all levels, including beginners, intermediate and advanced and some of the topics to be covered include introduction, history of music, voice training, piano, drums, guitar and bass.
All musicians are requested to bring along is the desire to learn, and their own instruments. The workshop is attended for free, but advance registration is required.
The workshop is a build up to the second annual Metropolitan Gospel Spectacular, slated for the next day, Saturday, at the same venue featuring Tshepo, Winnie Mashaba and Lebo Gee.
