The Ministry of Defence and Security is being snowed under by complaints of alleged tendering corruption.
This emerges from a scathing letter filed by one of the contractors addressed to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defence and Security dated 6th June 2023. The letter raises questions about the Ministry’s tendency to conduct tenders through a selective tendering process instead of open tendering.
The letter filed by the contractor states that “The absence of an open tender process gives rise to suspicions regarding the motivations behind these decisions, suggesting the possibility of corruption or undue influence.”
