The Governor of the Bank of Botswana, Ms Linah Mohohlo, has been awarded the “International Women’s Forum (South Africa) Recognition Award”. The honour was bestowed by the South African chapter of the International Women’s Forum (IWFSA) last month in Johannesburg (South Africa).
The Award is a symbol of acknowledgement and recognition of the good work done by Governor Mohohlo as Governor of the Bank of Botswana in the last 15 years, which makes her one of the longest serving Governors globally.
The Governor received the Award at a conference organised by the IWFSA, whose theme was “Africa Rising: Setting an Inclusive Agenda”. She spoke at the roundtable discussion on “Laying the Foundation: Africa’s Macroeconomic Environment.” The International Women’s Forum (IWF) is a global organisation of pre-eminent women which facilitates the sharing of knowledge and ideas to enrich lives and exert influence for positive change. The South African chapter (IFWSA) was established in 2000.┬á
