Murdered legislator Davids’ case resumes

A case in which a former Member of Parliament for Mochudi East was murdered, allegedly by his farm workers, is expected to resume before Gaborone High Court between 13th and 16 October.

Davids was brutally murdered back in 2018 while at his farm in Sorilatholo near Letlhakeng in the Kweneng West District.

Assistant Superintendent Morolong Morolong of Letlhakeng Police is expected to take a witness stand when the matter resumes Tuesday.

Morolong was one of the investigating officers who interviewed the suspects after the murder incident.

Davids was at some stage MP for Mochudi East under Botswana National Front (BNF) ticket before joining Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) where he lost his life.

The state is expected to call 16 witnesses while the trial resumes before Gaborone High Court.
