Former Barclays Bank Botswana Head of Communications, Esther Norris, has migrated to Government Enclave after being appointed to the post of Director Corporate Communications Services at the Office of the President (OP).
Government spokesperson, Dr Jeff Ramsay, confirmed Norris’s appointment, which was effective from 1st February 2013.
“Esther Norris has been employed with Botswana Government Communications and Information Services (BGCIS) as Director for Communication Services which will involve assisting in the development and coordination of communication strategies,” said Ramsay.
Ramsay added that the post was created at the end of 2011 for 2012-13.
“We are very happy to have such an experienced and motivated professional join our communications team,” said Ramsay.
Norris left Barclays Bank in March last year at the same time as the former Managing Director, Wilfred Mpai
Norris has also worked for high profile companies such as Standard Chartered Bank, Debswana and BTC. She has also been publicly featuring in events of the Botswana Democratic Party as an active member.
At BGCIS, Norris joins another well-known BDP activist, Dr Raphael Dingalo, who is Director of Research.
