Botswana international duo of Kabelo Seakanyeng and Tumisang Orebonye are cruising well in their efforts to promote their side to the Moroccan elite league.
Plying their trade for Olympique Khouribga since the start of the 2020/21 season, Orebonye and Seakanyeng are first team players that scored and assisted the club in critical moments this season.
Their efforts have witnessed Khouribga being one of the favorites to promote this season following exceptional performance.
With the league mid-way, the side is placed third in the log table and has secured 24 points together with log leaders Olympique Dcheira and second placed Stade Marocain.
Following 14 outings this season, Khouribga won six, drew six and lost two matches while rivals and log leaders won seven, drew three and lost four.
In their last six games, the side maintained an unbeaten record while championship rivals Dcheira lost two and Stade Marocain losing on a single occasion.
Khouribga is also among the best scoring sides after netting 20 times and conceding 15 since the start of the season.
With contest for championship wide open, the likes of fourth placed Wydad Fes and fifth Khemisset are amongst those in the race for promotion.
While Khouribga seeks promotion, it will have to dig deep as the highly competitive league has witnessed some of the mid table clubs and bottom half placed playing to three and more unbeaten consecutive matches.
In their next match, the duo’s side will enter a tricky affair against on form Khemisset which has not lost in their past three matches.
The encounter is expected to spark with Khemisset looking to topple Khouribga from the third spot with two points separating the clubs.
Log leaders Dcheira will lock horns with Widad Temara rooted at the bottom of the table while second placed Stade Marocain takes on seventh placed Rac Casablanca.
