Phakalane positions itself for World Cup

Phakalane Estates launched Thobo Hamlet ‘Thobo” which is being dubbed the Golf Estate without the Golf course. Selling is brisk with buyers coming in to pay deposits to conclude sales. Besides having 176 plots in a walled secure estate, “Thobo” will have a 1 hectare landscaped park. Thobo is accessible to most people as the unique selling feature is the ability to buy freehold land on an installment basis. Infrastructure will commence in 2009 further confirming Phakalane status as Botswana’s premier residential estate.

The pre-selling of sowen lakes and sowen heights plots in the Golf estate have been spectacular. These are the 3rd and 4th phases of the Golf estate. The infrastructure work will start in the first Quarter of 2009.

There will be more serviced industrial land being launched from December 15. They average around 5000 sqm in size.

The year before the world cup will also see the commencement of a luxurious 80 roomed hotel with breath taking views of the Golf Course. Botswana, being a young country, will also see Phakalane fine tune the procedures of sectional title transfers. This will make the buying of an apartment as simple as non assets such as cars.

Despite what is globally happening, Botswana needs to focus on the World Cup in 2010 and all its benefits 18 months from now. Phakalane will continue to focus on creating a large property owning class and help make Botswana an investment destination.
