Police officers allegedly defile primary school pupil

Two police officers are at the center of investigations after they allegedly defiled a Standard Seven student at Lady Mitchison Primary School in Mochudi.

The Sunday Standard is reliably informed that the two officers, a Sub Inspector and Constable at Mochudi Police Station, are expected to appear before the Mochudi magistrate to be charged with defilement.

Reports say that the student has already fallen pregnant and has dropped out of school.

Officer Commanding Senior Superintendent Seabe Maboka at Mochudi Police Station said that his office had received a good number of such cases and investigations are still on going.

“In this particular incident, I can neither confirm nor deny whether two police officers are under investigation following the defilement of a standard seven pupil,” he told Sunday Standard.
Lesang Makwati, the Head teacher of Lady Mitchison Primary School, told Sunday Standard in a brief interview that, “I am not aware of such a case.”
