Professor Roman Grynberg ties the knot

Research fellow at Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA) and prolific writer Professor Roman Grynberg ends the year with a bang by tying the knot with his lover Doris Shalie Gabotshwarege.

A clutch of close relatives, colleagues and friends who attended the colourful ceremony at Village suburb in Gaborone had a glimpse of Professor Grynberg’s lighter side as he danced up a sweat to the delight of the crowd.

The highlight of the night, however, was when the hold no prisoners analyst who writes for the Sunday Standard, Mmegi, Mail & Guardian and Africa in Fact showed off his romantic streak in a speech about how much he loves his wife.

The second leg of the wedding will be held early January in Maun, Doris’ home village. Roman was formerly head of trade policy at the Commonwealth Secretariat and has been head of trade at the Pacific Islands Forum.
