Botswana’s property market is showing signs of deterioration, particularly in the residential sector, where high-end properties are facing difficulties in selling, according to Riberry Botswana, a property valuation and market research firm.
In its latest quarterly report covering the first quarter of 2024, Riberry Botswana noted a slowdown in the residential rental market compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. This was marked by an increasing number of properties available for rent and declining house prices. The report highlighted weaker demand and supply for mid-range rental properties, while demand for low-end rentals remained steady.
