Yarona FM on Friday announced the resignation of its station manager, Owen Rampha, with a post on Facebook.
The reasons for his resignation were unknown by press time. Both the former manager and the acting station manager, David Moepeng, could not be reached by press time.
Rampha joined Yarona FM in 2001 as Music Manager and on-air presenter and grew through the ranks to the positions of programmes Manager and Station Manager in 2011.
Meanwhile, David Moepeng, who is currently the News Editor, has been appointed as Acting Station Manager until a substantive appointment is made.
Moepeng has been with Yarona FM since 2000.
He went through Yarona FM Management Development Progamme, which includes his study at Rhodes University where he attained two post graduate diplomas in Economics Journalism, and Media Management in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
