‘We rock hard, and party better’ is the mantra of two teenagers who reckon they are gifted party planners, and the right candidates for organising your teenager’s sweet sixteen bash.
Kabo Tshomane and Thato Parithi are both 16-year-olds who started organising birthday parties three years ago.
The boys are quick to add that they believe in alcohol free and responsible partying. The birthdays they have organised so far have always been parent aided.
“Our own parents approve our activities because our studies come first,” said Kabo and Thato who are both waiting to find out which senior secondary schools they will be admitted at.
“I have organised variety shows at school,” Kabo says, “and we both have also organised our own and our friends’ parties.”
Thato adds, “We are the middlemen; we do the running around.”
Their last party was a teenagers’ New Year’s Countdown, held at the Planet Lodge’s poolside, in Block 3, complete with fireworks.
“It was well organised and well attended,” Kabo said. “We are inspired to turn our hobby into a commercial venture,” they said.
Starting with registering the moniker, they have adopted Rock Stars Inc.
