Rollers/Notwane in psychological warfare?

The prestige that goes with the Coca Cola Cup competition has sparked a ding dong affair between the two finalists, Township Rollers and Notwane.
It was “Setlhopha se bosese”, as Notwane are affectionately called these days, who kickstarted the light warfare by asking for permission from Rollers to negotiate with some of their players. Mind you, this is ahead of the finals of the country’s richest Cup competition between the two teams.

One could imagine Rollers trotting onto the field on the day of the finals without a man who almost single-handedly booked them to the finals. True, Notwane have asked Rollers to allow them to negotiate with Makwate born hitman, Onalethata “Mbesuma” Tshekiso. They followed up by asking to negotiate with Rollers’pillar of strength at the back-Thebeitsile “Mkhari” Raditsebe. Another of their targets from Rollers is Maape-born, ,Edwin Olerile, who has not seen much game time under Madinda Ndlovu.

Rollers were not to be outdone as they now want Notwane’s most scintillating midfield pair of Dirang Moloi and Keoagetse “ Barnes” Radipotsane. They put a cherry on top by advancing Notwane’s sole hope for goals in the competition, Jones Kwape. This is because “Toronto”s proven goalpoacher, newly signed Tshepiso “Sox” Molwantwa, is cup tied. Kwape also leads the goal scoring charts in the competition.

Many soccer enthusiasts have mocked the two teams for down playing the necessity to prepare well for the grand final.

Said Thuto Madisa of Block Five in Gaborone.
“All this talk is meant to destabilize preparations. The two teams are clearly playing games of the minds. I do not think they are serious about landing the player’s signatures. Wait and see, all this talk will die a natural death after the finals.”

Notwane manager, Bonnie Bashe, the other day told RB2 that his team was serious about signing the trio from Rollers.

A question on many people’s tongues is: will Tshekiso team-up with his homeboy, Molwantwa at Notwane? Molwantwa is also from Makwate. Matter of fact- the three Rollers players on the Notwane wanted list all come from the Tswapong region.
