SA big-shots with links to Ramaphosa bankroll Khama

Influential South African millionaires with links to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet are believed to be among former President Lt Gen Ian Khama’s financiers ÔÇô Sunday Standard investigations have revealed.

The Botswana government has received intelligence and documentation indicating that the president of the South African Mining Development Association  Brigitte Motsepe has been footing Khama’s bills for private charter airplanes.

Brigitte Motsepe is the wife to South Africa’s Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe and sister in law to South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa. The South African president is married to Brigitte Motsepe’s sister Dr Tshepo Motsepe.

Brigitte Motsepe is also sister to South African billionaire mining businessman Patrice Motsepe who is the founder and executive chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, which has interests in gold, ferrous metals, base metals, and platinum.

Motsepe allegedly stepped in to help Khama following his running battles with President Mokgweetsi Masisi over the use of government aircraft. Khama is also understood to be getting financial support from a number of British investors mostly with interest in the tourism, industry.
