Stanbic Bank connects with Pandamatenga farmers

In a continuing effort towards growing and developing the agricultural sector in Botswana, Stanbic Bank Botswana participated in the annual Pandamatenga Farmers Show.

The Show, held on Farm QO 40 and 41 in Pandamatenga, ran from the 29th to the 30th of June 2012.

“Stanbic Bank is fully committed to making every effort to cultivating Botswana’s agricultural potential to the greatest extent. Exhibitions such as this, the Pandamatenga Farmers Show, serve as an important tool or avenue through which we can achieve this objective. We, as Stanbic Bank, are very excited to come on board,” said Kenneth Makubate, Stanbic Bank Head of Agribusiness.

The Pandamatenga Farmers Show acts as a platform for the farmers in that area to expose their trade to the public and to fellow farmers and organisations in the industry.

The exhibition facilitates the vital interaction between farmers and other industry professionals.

Stanbic Bank operated a stall at the Show, distributing information on all of the products and services it has on offer for those in the agriculture sector.

Shelagh Swynnerton, Show Committee Sales Representative said, “The Pandamatenga Farmers want to use this forum to share best practices and be recognised for their efforts in the agricultural sector. It is very much about exposure and making the right connections to further their agricultural business efforts.”

“Stanbic Bank has been working with the agricultural businesses across Botswana and recently we exhibited in Sandvelt and Tshepe Farmers Field Days. This is one more effort in our journey towards developing the agricultural sector and moving the farmers in Botswana forward, a sector that is of vital importance to our economy,” added Makubate.
