In the ashes of the dying state of football in Palapye, a beautiful vision of football is being born. A tripartite alliance of teams, comprising of Palapye All Stars, Palapye Swallows and Palapye United is emerging. The idea is to share resources and create a football juggernaut to revive sport in the area.
Mergers are not new to Botswana football. In 2012, five teams in Orapa merged to form what is now known as Orapa United. Three years later, two teams in the Jwaneng area, namely Jwaneng Comets and Debswana Youngsters followed suit. They formed the now all conquering Jwaneng Galaxy of today.
