Botswana is facing one of its most serious development warnings in years after the United Nations said the country is at a crossroads. The UN warns that the country is battered by slowing economic growth, youth unemployment and widening social pressures.
In its Botswana 2026 Country Analysis, the UN said while Botswana remains one of Africa’s stronger governed states, the country’s long-standing economic model is now under severe strain.
