Botswana’s unemployment rate continues to rise, with young people affected the most by unemployment, according to latest employment figures.
Statistics Botswana’s quarterly multi-topic survey (QMTS) for the first quarter of 2024 reveals that Botswana’s labour force – which is made up of people aged above 15 years and eligible to work – decreased by 2.1 percent to 1 million, up from the 962,319 registered in the last quarter of 2022.
