Village folks not just having sex for recreational purposes- Report

The recently released Botswana Population and Housing Census 2022 Analytical Report shows how folks in rural areas don’t take coitus for granted. The report, by Statistics Botswana, shows the stark differences in fertility rates between rural and urban women.

The data reveals how women in rural areas continue to have significantly more children than their urban counterparts, with a total fertility rate (TFR) of 3.92 compared to just 1.96 in cities and towns. This trend signifies the enduring socio-economic and cultural disparities that shape reproductive behavior across the country.
