The 7th Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC) to be held in Gaborone on May 31 will focus on issues crucial to the empowerment and improvement of women’s entrepreneurial skills as poverty eradication best practices.
According to the Conference coordinator, Ouma Rammidi, presentations and discussions for the one-day event cover investment opportunities in Botswana, business marketing strategies, money management, brand power and work ethics.
Women entrepreneurs will also have the opportunities to showcase their range of products in the exhibition stall facilities during the Conference and capitalize on potential customers.
“WLC has a think-tank of visionary panelists drawn from Batswana women professionals such as practicing Gynaecologist Dr. Mimi Raesima, Women’s Shelter Director Lorato Moalusi and Pick ‘n Pay Franchise Owner Tebogo Seremane. Gender Affairs, Ministries of Agriculture and Health and the Department of Social Services have been co-opted as partners, underscoring their potential in empowering women,” said Rammidi. “Delegates will also have the unique opportunity of holding one-on-one discussions with the Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mokgweetsi Masisi, who will grace the extravaganza.”
She said she had devoted the greater part of May in conducting a warm up tour for women organizations in Jwaneng, Kanye, Gantsi, Sehitwa, Maun, Gweta, Francistown, Mahalapye, Mochudi and Gaborone.
