World Bank flags Botswana health crisis in P580 Million loan review

The World Bank is closely monitoring Botswana’s ongoing health crisis as it appraises a proposed financial package consisting of a US$40 million (approximately P540 million) loan and a US$3 million (about P40 million) grant.

The support which is aimed at strengthening the country’s health emergency preparedness and response systems comes as authorities grapple with nationwide medicine shortages and strained public health facilities.
