Zim/RSA firms close locals out of Botswana ATM supplier market

Botswana bank customers are being forced to live with the problem of Automated Teller Machines that are constantly out of service, because South African and Zimbabwean investors have closed Batswana out of the ATM supplier market.

Zimbabwe born and owned Tano Digital Solutions, with not more than six months presence in Botswana is already being investigated by the Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) for possible monopolistic behaviour.

Also under the CCA radar is NCR International South Africa which is alleged to be Tano Digital Solutions’ partner in crime.
