Bank Gaborone donates clothing to families in Oodi

In its commitment to building community relations and growing the bank’s social responsibility initiatives, Bank Gaborone made a clothing donation to four needy families in Oodi recently.

Bank Gaborone made the donation as a result of contributions from employees, their families and customers.

Due to the fast approaching winter season and the multitudes of disadvantaged people who are not able to afford themselves clothing every year, Bank Gaborone saw it fit to donate clothing and other vital necessities.

The banks growth over the past few years has seen it naturally extending a helping hand beyond its borders of operation in order to assist those who are most vulnerable within society.

Working with the Oodi Village Development Committee, the initiative received much needed support and thus made it a success.

The Social Worker from VDC Hengari commended Sybrand Coetzee, Chief Operating Officer, and the Bank Gaborone team for playing such a critical role in society.

Last year, the bank’s celebration of five years of operation was also imbedded in social responsibility as a charity golf day event was held and proceeds donated to various charities. Going forward, the Bank will focus on giving back to the community through different initiatives.
