Batswana mourn Nigeria’s T.B Joshua

The world came to a shocking stand still on Sunday as popular Nigerian Televangelist, Temitope Balogun Joshua famously known as T.B Joshua was pronounced dead by his church.

Batswana were pouring out their hearts through various social media platforms sending condolences to this prophetic giant’s family. Some alluding that the world has lost a great man of God and that it is a big blow to the Christianity movement.

Not all comments were positive though as some suggested that they thought he was immortal. Some were questioning the authenticity of the news and that they are shocked he couldn’t prophecy his own death.

Many African presidents, senior government officials, international soccer players, musicians and other high-profile guests have worshipped in the church. Scores of Batswana have also travelled to see this man of God with their fair share of troubles.

He was popular in many African countries, and in South America where he had held many religious crusades.

The Nigerian-born pastor was founder of the mega church, Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) which also runs the Emmanuel Television Station in Lagos, Nigeria. The church announced his death in a statement on June 6, 2021.

The statement read: “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7

On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”

God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.

As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it.

Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.”

Joshua was noted for making predictions and for his claims to cure various ailments and to make people prosper through miracles. No cause of death was given.

He is survived by his widow and three children.
