BDF Commander Meets General Nankase

Saturday 25th May was a day on which BDF Day was celebrated. This was a welcome development as it was one of the few post Covid military activities. It is amazing that the stadium took a while before filling to capacity. In the 1990s, it was usually full to the rafters the moment the gates were opened.

On such a day, BDF usually hosts a number of dignitaries and this includes military attaches based in Botswana and general officers from neighbouring countries. This time around, there was an unusual visitor who came to grace the event and this was General Nankase. This is a self-made and self-proclaimed general from Ramotswa who commands a small force of his dedicated soldiers at his military headquarters of Fort Klipdrift.
