Now Seretse’s children have adopted a Western cultural perspective because of their upbringing. Their white mother could not have achieved schooling them into the Setswana culture and tradition which was as foreign as anything to her and she should be absolved in that matter. They were brought up as English children by language and all manner of things. The primary role of a queen is to raise princes and princesses among which a future chief would emerge. And this role she performs while the chief is attending to the issues of running tribal administration.
