BDO Botswana, the auditing firm accused of failing in its duties during the collapse of Bluthorn Group, has hit back at allegations of gross negligence, calling the accusations “embarrassing”.
The dispute revolves around claims that BDO’s negligent audits contributed to the financial collapse of Bluthorn Fund Managers and its affiliated companies, causing massive financial losses for investors. In response to the accusations, BDO has filed a Notice to Remove Cause of Complaint, attacking the legal basis of the liquidator’s claims as vague, embarrassing, and lacking a clear cause of action.
