Beef industry eyes growth as BMC rolls new export deal

The Botswana Meat Commission’s (BMC) recent dispatch of beef samples to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) under a $4 million export deal has sparked cautious optimism among beef producers. The move, aimed at boosting cattle prices and expanding African markets, marks Botswana’s re-entry into the DRC, with plans to target Ghana, Angola, and Nigeria next.
