Botswana Football Association (BFA) legal team’s instructions to Boteti Regional Football Association Division 1 league to flout rules and play with unregistered teams is fuelling divisions.
Sources say the BFA legal team has been advised and instructed by the BFA legal team to play four teams which are no longer registered with the Registrar of Societies or the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA). The four teams are Real Brothers, Mighty Birds, Golden Birds and Green Stars.
Aggrieved teams in the region say the instruction by the BFA goes against the association’s own constitution. Teams competing in the BFA regulated leagues are obliged to be registered with either the Registrar of Societies or CIPA.
